Acceptance

Write with all the emotions and radical acceptance will be the result.

Life can throw us curve balls.

Situations can arise out-of-the-blue.

A lot of the time these can feel unfair.

But the fact remains, they are happening and we NEED to be able to learn to cope.

When it comes to understanding the situations life throws at you, acceptance is important. And it is my belief that acceptance is something that can be found through Journaling.

I would say that Journaling is fundamental for learning about ourselves and how we deal with personal difficulties. As we begin to understand ourselves better, we can begin to accept how we feel.

I have wallowed for far too long.

I have sunk into the depths of self-pity and despair.

I have felt sorry for myself all too often, and become depressed.

True friends will be more than willing to show you support… initially. But if all you do is offer them your negativity, you cannot be surprised if they begin to distance themselves from you. This only worsens your personal circumstances.

So instead, you should write about these situations and express your frustration to that piece of paper. Cleanse yourself of that burden. Let that piece of paper bear the brunt of your trauma.

You will learn an awful lot about yourself by writing about your true feelings.

You may want to go over why this is happening to you.

You may want to ask what you did to deserve this.

You may want to write down all the wrongs.

But, it’s important, again, not to wallow. Exorcise those thoughts. Get them out of your head and down on to that piece of paper.

It will bring about a level of understanding that can only be found from emotional writing. This often leads to acceptance, and that alleviates the symptoms you may be suffering.

My suggestion to those of you who need to find some answers… write. Daily! Do it with all the emotions and radical acceptance will be the result!
