Journaling about 'life moments'

I had a 'life moment' yesterday. It was the longest day of the year, June 21st, 2022. So, I decided to go and watch the sunrise and the sunset.

I'm lucky, because I live in Devon, I can watch the sun do its thing in the surroundings of some stunning scenery. The North coast allows me to watch a sunset over the sea, which is especially special.

Yesterday, on June 21st, 2022, it was the longest day... as it is every year. I decided, as the weather looked promising, that I would set my alarm for 3.30am and attempt to watch the sun rise from the highest point on Exmoor.

Because of the topography of Exmoor, the sun appears to rise over the sea too, albeit, what you're actually seeing is the Bristol channel. Then I travelled to the coast that evening to watch the sunset over the sea at Saunton sands.

It was a wonderful way to experience the longest day.

In between all that, I went to work, I ate several times, presented a radio show and journaled. And boy did I have a lot to journal about. It was matter-of-fact, it was philosophical and retrospective too.

It's moments like this where you can reflect, dig a little deeper and be completely honest with that notebook in front of you.
